Covid turned this TikToker's dream tattoo into a nightmare!

Kentucky - This TikTok user spent a lot of time thinking about her tattoo before she got it. But shortly after getting inked, circumstances changed drastically and now it's something she prefers to hide under her clothing.

TikTok user Leah got her tattoo almost a year ago, right before the coronavirus pandemic disrupted peoples lives around the world and forced many into lockdown.

She posted a video on TikTok, in response to the trend challenging people to explain or show their "the dumbest tattoo." She starts the video by telling the viewers "I won."

Leah may be right. The writing on her forearm reads: "Courageously & radically refuse to wear a mask."

In the video, she says: "I've wanted it for a couple of years, basically means being true to yourself and real. And not pretending to be something you're not."

She got it March 4, 2020, which as BuzzFeed reported, is just two days before the first coronavirus case was confirmed in Kentucky.

Now, due to the pandemic which brought the wearing of masks to prevent the spread of infection, the tattoo's message sounds very different. In the description, the TikToker assured everyone, "P.S. I’m not anti-mask I promise."

Leah wants to keep the tattoo

The clip, which was posted Tuesday, already has over 1.7 million views and thousands of comments. While some TikTok users were incredibly amused by it, others wanted to know how the tattoo affected Leah's daily life.

"Are you going to get it removed. Do people think you're anti-masker? Are you embarrassed of it? I need to know," one user asked.

The TikToker doesn't see her tattoo as a mistake: "I wore long sleeves all last year so no one would see it! But I don't think I'll have it removed/hidden. It makes for a good story."

Another commenter wrote, "I'm so sorry that the context of your tattoo literally changed overnight after you got it."

Other viewers suggested simply adding the line "except during Covid." Maybe that's something Leah will consider.
