When you come across this young Australian, you immediately notice that her legs are covered in ink.

But there's something slightly off, something that catches your eye during a second glance: These are serial killer tattoos, representing the likes of Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer.

On Britnee's thigh is a portrait of Ted Bundy, who murdered more than 30 women and children between 1974 and 1978. Below him is a portrait of Jeffrey Dahmer, who not only killed and dismembered his 17 victims, but also ate them afterward.

This avid serial killer enthusiast says that she will soon expand her collection as well, with her next projects depicting London killer Jack the Ripper and Ed Gein – aka, the Butcher of Plainfield – already in the pipeline.

Her macabre fascination with true crime and the acts of murders like Bundy and Dahmer have made Britnee Chamberlain widely recognize as "that" girl with the serial killer tattoos.

With so many serial killer tattoos, Britnee Chamberlain doesn't care how she's seen

All together, Britnee's 10 tattoos have cost her the equivalent of about $2,000 – and she doesn't regret a single penny.

Quite the opposite, in fact: She's in love with her artwork and is always happy when strangers stop her on the street to ask her questions or take photos. What's for certain is that this 28-year-old is not afraid of what people might think about her.

"If I was worried about what others think, I wouldn’t be staying true to myself and living a life of authenticity," she told the Daily Star. "People are always going to have their own opinion, but who is to say any of those opinions or choices are right or wrong?"

Despite what many say, Britnee Chamberlain's fascination isn't glamorizing murder

Britnee Chamberlain's fascination with serial killers doesn't stop with tattoos. She has also started studying forensic psychology, out of a fascination for why these murderous criminals did what they did.

"I don’t condone the hostile crimes of serial killers by any means - I am simply intrigued as to why they do it," she said. "It’s fair to say that not all of them are coherent or sane enough to realize that this is not a sense of normalcy in society."

Above all, she doesn't regret any of her body-art choices, saying that she "Couldn’t be happier" and that she was "So grateful to have found such an incredible artist" when referring to her tattoo artist Daniel Wickham.

Her favorite piece is a Dahmer quote that reads: "If you can’t beat 'em, eat 'em."
