Arlington, Texas - The Dallas Cowboys finally played their home opener on Monday night and made easy work of their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys overpowered the Eagles 41-21 to improve their regular season record to 2-1, taking sole possession of the NFC East’s top spot.

Dak Prescott (28) was back on his home field for the first time since his devastating ankle injury last year that ended his season in Week Five.

He was definitely looking like the Prescott the fans know and love, going 21-for-26 passing, 238 yards, and three touchdowns despite getting sacked four times.

He did fumble the ball in the end zone, a mistake that Philly capitalized on for a touchdown, but Prescott was otherwise on top of his game.

Dalton Schultz was Prescott’s favorite target in the game, throwing two touchdown passes to the Dallas tight end. He finished the game with six catches for 80 yards, to lead all receivers.

The first half was all Dallas, apart from the Prescott turnover as the Cowboys cruised into the half with a 20-7 lead.

They kept on rolling when Trevon Diggs made a huge play for the Dallas defense by returning one of Jalen Hurts’ two interceptions 59 yards for a touchdown.

Philly did answer back, but the Cowboys were just too much, answering every Philly score with a touchdown of their own to put the game out of reach.

Ezekiel Elliott also got in on the fun by carrying the ball 17 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

For the Eagles, Hurts ended up putting in more work than Prescott by completing 25 of 39 pass attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns, but his two picks were costly.

Next Sunday, the Cowboys (2-1) host the undefeated Panthers (3-0) while the Eagles (1-2) take on the Chiefs (1-2) at home.
