Maggie the pug is getting on in years, which is why she has been a regular visitor to Teddy's Dog Care in Northampton, England, for some time.

Over the years, a close bond developed between Maggie and the staff, but as she got older, the dog's everyday life became more difficult: a degenerative disease limited her mobility.

Eventually, it became increasingly noticeable that she could no longer keep up with the other dogs when playing.

Maggie's carers then decided to make a kind gesture and gave her a specially adapted dog wheelchair.

Suddenly, the little four-legged friend was able to move freely again, dash around the yard, and play with her fellow dogs.

This joyous moment, immortalized via a viral TikTok video, became something very special for the team at the dog day care center.

Maggie herself immediately accepted the new help and, with visible determination, she quickly got used to the wheelchair and her newfound mobility.

Diseases such as osteoarthritis or degenerative neurological conditions can severely restrict a dog's ability to move.

Many of these diseases cannot be cured, but modern aids such as wheelchairs or targeted therapies can make a decisive contribution to improving quality of life.
