Menorca, Spain - If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this squished-up surprise was definitely worth a closer look.

At first glance, users were baffled by a photo shared on Instagram that looked like a maze – or perhaps a bunched-up plush blanket.

But when they looked closer, there appeared to be a nose amidst the jumbled bundle!

The puzzle was put together to reveal a fuzzy find named Harvey.

The dog is a Shar Pei, a breed which hails from China. The puffy pups are known for having incredibly wrinkled skin.

Harvey's owner Teresa Moll Arguimbau shared their friendship on Instagram and said that he is the perfect cuddly companion.

"I am completely crazy about his wrinkles and his skin. It is very soft, and the wrinkles are very beautiful. In fact, one of the things I like the most about Harvey is his...giant double chin," she told the Daily Mail.

The 22-year-old pet owner said that Harvey's cuddly coat makes his maintenance a bit tricky.

The six-month-old puppy needs to constantly checked for skin infections and moisturized between his wrinkles to avoid irritation.

He also had many problems with his eyesight after he was born due to his heavy eyelids.

Harvey struggled to see as infections formed around his eyes within the first few months of his life. He was treated with medical staples and stitches, which healed with the help of heavy creams and antibiotics.

Now, he has regained his sight and Teresa said that he loves to go to the beach and sunbathe on their home island of Menorca, Spain.

"Living on such a small island, where all the people know each other, makes Harvey very well-known here," she said. "He likes to be the centre of attention."

With his pawsome coat, he defintely is!
