On Friday, Tonya Lynn shared a mind-blowing video on her Facebook account.

In it, a man walks around the counter at a bar before taking a seat and tampering with a drink in front of him.

"Never trust anyone! Always keep a close eye on your drinks," Lynn captioned the clip that has already been watched by more than 14,000 people. And they were all left in utter shock.

As the young woman later revealed in the comment section, the bar in question was Missy's Broken Arrow bar in Conrath, Wisconsin.

The bar manager Doug Merrill has since confirmed the incident to WQOW.

"It's kind of scary," Merrill said as he remembered Wednesday's incident. "You wouldn't think you'd see that in a small-town bar."

Mellissa Hladilek, one of the employees, was working a shift that night when she was called to help Merrill with something in the back room.

Only a few minutes later, she returned to a dangerous scene.

"After I was done, I came back out, sat at the counter," Hladilek remembered. "After a couple minutes, I took a drink of my soda and it felt gritty, so I wiped my lip off a little bit. Then I got to looking at the can and I saw a white powder substance on there."

That's when she took the can and showed it to the manager.

The man knew the bartender personally

Merrill then looked in the can with a flashlight and couldn't believe his eyes as he "saw that it was foaming".

That's when he decided to check the surveillance cameras to see if maybe somebody did something to it.

The footage, which has now been shared on social media, showed the man tampering with Hladilek's drink while she was away.

Merrill was shocked as he saw what happened and immediately called the police. Hladilek luckily made a full recovery.

What made matters worse was that the person in the security footage is a regular at the bar, whom both Hladilek and Merrill know personally. Merrill said the person was arrested that same night.

According to comments on Facebook, the perpetrator is currently being held on a $5000 bond for aggravated assault.
