The second-best player in Pennsylvania committed to the Golden Eagles' 2023 recruiting class in a live announcement via 247 Sports on YouTube.

"Honestly, making the decision was pretty easy," Amadou said of his decision to become a Golden Eagle. "Because my relationship with Coach [Shaka] Smart and the staff is beyond basketball, They really cared about me. That meant a lot to me."

"And they had a plan at the school for me already so that sounded good to me. It was a basketball school," the young star added.

Amadou chose Marquette over four other final offers from St. Johns, Miami, San Diego, and Georgia Tech.

At 6-foot-9, the power forward ranks No. 20 nationally in his position and No. 87 overall. Despite his size, Amadou maintains great athleticism on both offense and defense with his quick feet abilities and massive wingspan.

The four-star Amadou will join top-ranked guard, Zaide Lowery, as the Golden Eagles only pledges in the 2023 class.
