Don't worry, this good boy is fine after his daring attempt! Archie, the Boston Terrier belonging to TikTok user Darian Harsch, survived his flight from the car unharmed.

He likely owes his life to the vigilance of his owner, who made sure he was wearing a full harness and properly secured inside the car while she was driving.

In the clip, Archie hangs outside the passenger door of the SUV after his daredevil stunt. He looks directly into the camera with eyes full of remorse about his ill-advised jump. Had he been attached to his seatbelt with just a collar, the consequences could have been a lot more serious.

His owner calmly explains, "If you ever needed a reason why you should strap your dog to a seatbelt, here it is."

With that, she zooms in once again on her fur baby's dazed face. He looks like he's mighty ashamed!

Embarrassed dog is also a cautionary tale for car safety

"He looks so embarrassed," one user wrote under the clip with a few laughing emojis, earning more than 29,000 thumbs up for that comment alone.

Another user virtually gave voice to the remorseful pooch: "Yeah sure, go ahead mama, go ahead and make your TikTok video, I've been waiting here for so long."

A third user also shared some words Archie may have been thinking in his moment of need: "He's looking at you as if to say, 'I realize I messed up and I'd like a second chance, please don't tell my master, it's so embarrassing.'"

But other TikTokers see the case as a cautionary tale: "This is also why you secure your dog in the car with a harness and not a collar! Good job!" Indeed, the whole thing could have ended much worse if Archie hadn't been so optimally secured.

In any case, the hound has caused a lot of amusement on the platform, as his clip has already received more than 2.4 million views and 467,000 likes in just four days.
