Los Angeles, California - A clip from the Golden Globes has gone viral on TikTok after fans were baffled by Jenna Ortega's pronunciation of Rihanna's name during the ceremony.

It's "Re-ANN-ah," "not Re-ON-ah," and now, TikTok is in the know.

Netflix's Wednesday's leading lady proved she's a proper RiRi stan while presenting the award for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes on Tuesday night.

The 34-year-old singer was nominated for her song Lift Me Up, which was featured in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Yet, many fans on TikTok were confused as to why the 20-year-old actor pronounced RiRi's name the way she did, but it turns out - she's right!

Contrary to popular belief, Rihanna's name is pronounced "Re-Ann-ah," not "Re-On-ah."

Though some assumed Jenna had mispronounced the Needed Me singer's name accidentally, word began to spread online that it was, in fact, correct - and fans were shocked.

"My whole life is a lie," one commented on a TikTok showcasing the moment.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's make-up brand, Fenty Beauty, added their two-cents in a comment on the viral video: "Miss Wednesday understood the assignment."

Many fans in the comments also noted that outside of the US, most were saying it correctly due to the difference in accents.

"Meanwhile, in Australia, we've been pronouncing it correctly the whole time," another fan claimed.
