On Thursday, four-star defensive athlete Jaiden Ausberry announced his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, putting the program back in the top spot of the recruiting rankings for the incoming class of 2023.

Ausberry, the No. 8 linebacker in the country and the No. 7 overall player in the state of Louisiana, chose the Irish over the likes of LSU, Auburn, Alabama, and Michigan.

"They have everything I need on and off the field to succeed, so I think that was the best decision for me," Ausberry said of his decision to commit to Notre Dame.
