New York, New York - The New York City Marathon had an extra special participant waddling towards the finish line this year, making for one ri-duck-ulously quick quack!

While most people might not have the determination or skill to run a marathon, apparently one lucky duck does.

Wrinkle the duck participated in the New York City Marathon on Sunday, and her strides have since been shared millions of times across the internet on social media.

In a video shared by Wrinkle's accounts @Seducktive, the spry sprinter is seen scurrying down the street at an amazingly fast pace, keeping time alongside the other participants.

"You can do it, little duck!" one spectator can be heard calling out. Soon, the entire crowd was behind their new feathered friend – egging her on with lots of encouragement.

Befitting of a true athlete, she is also wearing the appropriate footwear for the occasion: a pair of custom homemade duck running shoes.

Wrinkle's videos have garnered comments from huge celebrities and companies alike, and even gained the attention of Adidas.

"Sending this to our design team to petition for a new duck shoe collection," the company wrote.

"We make the shoes ourself, and now we're getting too many orders to handle, we're looking for a good sponsor," the Seducktive account wrote back.

Perhaps it's the beginning of a brand-new animal footwear collaboration!

TikTok users were especially delighted with the duck, and have now viewed the video over seven million times.

One user commented that she's been depressed, but "seeing this little lady running has actually made me smile."

Wrinkle replied that she is "an official emotional support duck" and aims to spread love wherever she goes.

While the tiny competitor probably didn't run the whole distance of the marathon, she does seem to have put in the work to step up her game. Her account includes numerous videos running around the yard and even features a marathon training compilation post.

When she's not running a marathon, Wrinkle perhaps leads a pretty normal life: She likes to go shopping, dress up for Halloween, and ride the subway!
