Los Angeles, California - Talk about setting a goal! Lizzo recently admitted on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast that she didn't want to lose her virginity until she won a Grammy.
Pop sensation Lizzo was the guest on the latest episode of Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky, and Kristin Batalucco's podcast, Friends Keep Secrets.
The three bonded over making music, being nerdy, their love of Prince, and inappropriate freestyling.
Lizzo and Lil Dicky connected over lying about losing their virginity: both are self-proclaimed "late bloomers."
Lizzo explained that as a big girl, she "was kind of invisible to all the guys."
The Juice artist says she made a pact with her church friends not to do anything before marriage.
"I lied about [losing my virginity] for a long time," the 37-year-old admitted on the podcast.
Then she dropped the real bomb: "I wasn't even thinking about it… I promised myself when I was younger that I wouldn't have sex until I won a Grammy."
The four-time Grammy Award winner won her first golden trophy in 2020. She said coming clean about losing her virginity was "a weight off her shoulders."
Lizzo didn't believe she could sing
That wasn't the only secret Lizzo unloaded on the podcast.
Shockingly, the pop-gospel singer told the three amigos that she didn't believe she could sing until Cuz I Love You came out in 2019.
"I just rapped, I didn't know I could sing," the Rumors artist admitted. Lizzo explained that growing up in the church, she didn't think her voice was good enough.
The three friends couldn't believe it and gushed over Lizzo's voice and musical ability.
With secrets, talents, and improvements shared, the Friends Keep Secrets trio and Lizzo promised to hang out more. Benny even admitted, "Every time I hang out with you, I really just want to be best friends."
