The 29-year-old was killed on when the man landed on top of her after jumping from a parking garage on 10th Avenue in downtown San Diego.

Khale died at the scene. The man, who has not yet been identified, was brought to a hospital, where he died 40 minutes after the incident.

Police said he was between 20 and 30 years old.

A security video obtained by NBC 7 shows Khale and her date sitting at Basic Bar & Pizza moments earlier, before they left at around 7:30 PM.

The footage also captured the reaction of two witnesses of the tragedy who were so shocked by what had just happened, they stopped in their tracks before rushing over to help them.

Kahle's date was not harmed in last weekend's incident.

"She had just met someone that she kind of liked – it was new, just starting out – and she was just excited that there was someone she was having a connection with," a friend and co-worker said.

The two were on their third date that day.
