Steve Bannon and other MAGA figures declare war after Charlie Kirk killing
Washington DC - Right-wing commentators and high-profile MAGA figures such as Steve Bannon and Alex Jones have responded to the assassination of Charlie Kirk by declaring war on the political left.

"We have to have steely resolve. Charlie Kirk is a casualty of war," former Trump White House Advisor Steve Bannon said on his War Room program in the wake of Kirk's murder. "We are at war in this country."
The shooting of the far-wing activist and Turning Point USA founder at a college event at Utah Valley University drew responses from both political parties.
Bannon, an instrumental figure in President Donald Trump's first term, echoed comments made by the president and used increasingly violent language in the hours since Kirk's death, despite the killer's motivations not being known.
"For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis," Trump wrote. "This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today."
"The Democrats think the assassination of Charlie Kirk will intimidate American conservatives into submission!" far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones said on X. "They thought WRONG!"
"The hit was a professional job. Trump's DOJ must take action now against Democratic Party," Jones said. "Brace for new Democrat party sponsored terror attacks."
Fox News host Jesse Watters referred to Kirk's death as a "turning point" shortly after it was confirmed that he had died.
"They killed Charlie for asking questions – what kind of message does that send?" he said. "They are at war with us, whether we want to accept it or not, they are at war with us."
