Ben Simmons (24) stepped up with 22 points as Philly won game two of their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series 120-95.

The Wizards are now in a tricky spot as they head home and try to regroup. They'll need to make some big changes to avoid ending up in a three-game deficit.

Philly just didn't take any prisoners, as Simmons set the tone early with a 12-point first quarter. The Sixers carried that momentum into the half up 71-57. The third quarter was tight though with both teams putting up 23 each before the game got away from the Wizards in the fourth.

The Sixers turned up the defense and locked things down during the final period to hold the Wizards to only 15 total points.

Some of that low scoring was due to Russell Westbrook's departure early in the fourth, due to an injured ankle.

Ben Simmons finished added nine rebounds and eight assists to his strong performance. Big man Joel Embiid also dropped 22 points, to go along with his seven rebounds and 3 assists. Tobias Harris also put in a good night's work with 19 points and nine boards.

On the other side, Russell Westbrook did manage a rare double-double with ten points and 11 assists before his untimely exit, while Bradley Beal scored a game-high 33 points in Washington's loss.

The series shifts to Washington DC, for game three on Saturday night.
