Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - The Philadelphia 76ers remain as one of the east's top-tier teams, putting on a show against the Atlanta Hawks and earning a spot in the upcoming playoffs.

The Sixers were playing at a top-level on Wednesday night as they punched their ticket to the playoffs with a complete decimation of the Hawks, 127-83.

Atlanta was missing their leading scorer Trae Young (22), due to injury but it seemed like even his presence might not have been enough to give them a chance against Philly.

The Sixers definitely played like true contenders for the NBA title and won their second game in a row in an impressive fashion. They made an example of the Hawks on both offense and defense, giving them little to no chance at all in the game. Atlanta's offense only managed to put up 39 points by halftime, but the Sixers were well ahead with 67 points of their own, with no hints of ever letting up.

The second half was more of the same, as the Sixers maintained control and ultimately came away with the 44-point win. Seth Curry led Philly with 20 points, three rebounds, and an assist. The rest of his team also contributed, with every player that was in uniform scoring at least a bucket.

Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid scored 17 points each and were helped out by Furkan Korkmas, Shake Milton, and Tyrese Maxey, who combined for 35 points off the bench.

The Hawks were led by John Collins, who had a game-high 21 points, followed by Solomon Hill's 14 points.

These two teams are back at it again on Friday night, with the Sixers hoping for more of the same over the Hawks.

In Phoenix, the Suns have clinched their first playoff spot in over a decade, beating the Clippers 109-101, while the Magic held off a late push by the Cavs to win 109-104. And the Celtics snapped a three-game losing streak with a 120-111 win over the Hornets.

Russell Westbrook had another triple-double as the Wizards won against the Lakers 116-107. And the Jazz dropped 24 3-pointers on their way to a whopping 154-105 win over the Kings. The Knicks got a big win at home, beating the Bulls 113-94.

The Heat held off the Spurs 116-111, while Lonzo Ball got a triple-double of his own, but it wasn't enough for the Pelicans as they lost a close one to the Nuggets 114-112. The Blazers closed the night out beating the Grizzlies 130-109.

On Thursday, the Nets look to stay ahead of the Sixers as they take on the Pacers, while the Thunder host the Pelicans.
