Clever dog has his human convinced someone's breaking into their home!

Los Angeles, California - A Los Angeles woman was convinced that someone was repeatedly breaking into her home until she set up a surveillance camera and found out there was no burglar. She just has a very clever foster dog!

Three days in a row, TikToker Heidi from Los Angeles came home to find her back patio door wide open. Understandably, she freaked out and wanted to know who kept breaking in!

The curious TikToker installed a camera to monitor the patio entrance area and solve the mystery once and for all.

When she reviewed the surveillance footage, however, she was shocked. There was no burglar, after all – it was her German Shepherd all along!

She shared a clip of the footage to TikTok with the caption, "Genius dog or what? I was astonished."

The clip shows a large German shepherd dog walking over to the patio door and using his snout to twist the handle and open it!

TikTokers loved the video of the dog opening the patio door with his snout. The clip video boasts 909,000 views and counting!

"Turns out, it was my foster dog that learned how to open the door to let the other dogs in," Heidi wrote in the subtitles of her video.

Netizens gushed over how smart German Shepard dogs are in the comments. Many dubbed them "too smart for their own good sometimes." Heidi agreed, replying, "That’s what we were saying… he’s smarter than us combined!"

Others joked that now she just has to train the dog to close the door behind him when he leaves.
