Cat catches owner petting someone else and its dramatic reaction is priceless

Scotland, UK - Cats are not known to be the most affectionate creatures out there, but that doesn't mean they can't get jealous if you turn your attention to others – just check out this feline's viral reaction for proof!

TikTok user Zahra struck viral gold with a clip showing her petting an orange cat as her own pet looks on in shock at the betrayal.

Per the caption, Zahra "was petting my neighbor's cat, when suddenly," she saw a certain someone glaring at her from the window. The camera zooms in on a black cat staring at her, eyes wide with horror.

This isn't just us reading human emotions into things, by the way. According to The Spruce Pets, cats are very much capable of feeling jealousy, especially if they perceive their owners giving someone else more attention.

So it's no surprise that Zahra's cat looks like a spurned lover – that's probably just how it feels.

With almost 2 million views, 300,000 likes, and a thousand comments, it's fair to say this TikTok caught the imaginations of users.

And given cats' reputation for pettiness, plenty of people think Zahra now has a serious problem on her hands.

"Probably your stuff was already packed and left in suitcases next to the door as you came back home," one commenter wrote.
