Kitten comes to the rescue of lonely cat in BFF TikTok meet cute

One cute cat duo is lighting up TikTok after its owners found a kitten playmate for their lonely feline.

These furry friends are the newest BFFs to captivate TikTok with their cuteness overload.

When user Amanda Schwartz posted the first video of the cuddly pair to her TikTok channel, it became a heartwarming viral hit.

"Our cat was lonely so we got him a cat," she wrote. "That's his baby now."

In the clip, the two cats meet for the first time and after checking each other out, they slowly become friends.

"She was so scared," Amanda wrote of the small kitten with huge eyes. But then, the older cat "gave in and loved her."

Now, she says the two Bengal cats are "BFF forever."

The video of their meet cute has racked up over 12 million clicks.

Follow-up videos show the pair has taken quite a liking to each other, licking each other clean and playing with each other.

In addition, the older cat lets his little friend sleep in his bed or even sit directly on top of him now, as their sweet friendship has certainly developed.

Thousands of commenters have expressed how adorable they find the twosome.

"What a precious bond!" wrote one user. "They look kind of alike and so cute together," commented another.

Schwartz has responded to the cats' fans that she doesn't regret the decision to get her original pet a playmate: "It keeps them busy and entertained, and it helps them get rid of all their energy!"

And makes for some sugary sweet viewing, too.
