Shelter dog gets ghosted at adoption event before claiming his person in viral TikTok

New York, New York - No one was interested in him: one dog named Bob sat with Andrea Caceres at New York's Central Park over the weekend for an adoption event. While hundreds of visitors showed interest in the other four-legged friends, Bob and Caceres had an immediate bond and spend the entirety of the time together. What happened afterwards, however, is likely to bring tears to your eyes!

Caceres did not want to let the sad experience go unknown, as the Mirror reports, so the young woman posted a video on TikTok showcasing the adorable pup and the sad scene.

While the people in the clip were bonding with numerous other dogs, Bob and Caceres seem quite lost.

Although the doggo had not been able to inspire anyone to adopt him, shortly after Caceres published the clip, it went viral! More than four million people clicked on the video since then. Hundreds spontaneously expressed interest in Bob, and many felt sorry for the animal.

The three-year-old dog's foster mother, Julie Zeilinger, then spoke out. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the American admitted that Bob had not really made it easy for people at the event.

"He was very overwhelmed, and I think people sensed that and wanted to give him his space. He's an incredibly sweet dog who just wants to love and be loved," Zeilinger said.

Although Bob had probably gotten more attention on TikTok than any of the other dogs who had been in the park with him, he still ended up alone.

Nevertheless, the shelter is committed to giving Bob the dog the happy life he deserves!
