French Montana's music video set erupts in gunfire, injuring Rob49 and others

Miami, Florida - Rapper French Montana's music video set turned into a terrifying scene after shots were fired.

The 38-year-old hip-hop artist had a rough start to 2023, as it was reported that several people were injured after an armed suspect opened fire on the set of his music video on Thursday.

According to NBC Miami, 10 people were injured following the shooting that occurred while Montana and fellow rapper Rob49 were filming.

Per the report, shots rang out just before 8 PM outside a Miami Gardens restaurant called The Licking.

Footage from the horrific incident showed the Unforgettable artist sitting in a car outside the establishment before shots were fired.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and law enforcement authorities responded to the scene and found multiple people injured.

Police told the outlet that it is believed an altercation broke out at a different restaurant that moved to where Montana was.

The Jungle Rules artist was reportedly unharmed as his security was able to get him safely away from the scene when the suspect began shooting.

Yet, the outlet did note that rapper Rob49 was among those who were injured.

Additionally, four of the victims transported themselves to local hospitals, the fire department said. Authorities transported six others to trauma centers by ambulance and air rescue.

Hopefully, the victims who were injured have a speedy recovery.
