GMA's Robin Roberts shares huge plans for 2023
New York, New York - Celebrated Good Morning America (GMA) anchor Robin Roberts has announced her big plans for 2023.
The journalist's to-do list includes some wedding bells!
On Monday, while speaking to author Gabby Bernstein, the GMA host dropped the bombshell that she and her longtime partner Amber Laign are getting hitched.
"I'm hesitating because I haven't said it out loud yet, I'm saying 'yes' to marriage," the 62-year-old told Bernstein during the two's discussion about setting intentions.
"We're getting married this year."
She added, "It was something we had talked about but we had put it off. She became ill but, it is saying yes to that, and that next chapter."
Roberts shared the emotional clip on her Instagram page, where she captioned the post, "Saying YES to marriage in 2023. Always a joy to chat with @gabbybernstein…she joined us LIVE with a manifestation challenge to realize your dreams in the new year."
Who is Robin Roberts' partner Amber Laign?
Robin Roberts and her partner Amber Laign have been together since 2005, and have tackled incredible feats together in their love journey. The pair has been together for 18 years.
Roberts has dealt with multiple health issues, having been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer in 2007 and with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a disease of the bone marrow, in 2012.
Early last year, the journalist announced on Twitter that Laign, a massage therapist, was also battling breast cancer, but by July the pair updated fans that she had completed her radiation treatments.
"Sweet Amber, completing radiation, a very important phase of her treatment! We both thank you for all your well wishes and prayers," Robins captioned the clip.
Looks like Roberts' upcoming nuptials may be the wedding of 2023!
