Chicago, Illinois - Rapper Lil Durk says he is taking a break to recover after being injured onstage in an accident at Lollapalooza.

Rapper Lil Durk was reportedly injured while performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park on Saturday.

The artist appeared to get hurt when pyrotechnics exploded right in front of him. After walking into the explosions, Lil Durk stopped rapping and wiped his eyes with his shirt. His DJ can be heard saying, "Whoa. You alright bro?"

The rapper continued his set.

On Sunday, Lil Durk took to Instagram to post a picture of himself with a bandage covering his right eye.

He wrote, "Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health. I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all"

Fans and friends filled the rapper's comments section with well-wishes and prayer emojis.

The rapper didn't elaborate on his injuries. He also didn't say how long his break would be.

As Pitchfork noted, Lil Durk has performances scheduled later this month and more dates in September and October.

Lollapalooza has yet to comment on Lil Durk's incident. The fourth and final day of the festival was Sunday and featured headliners Green Day and J-Hope.
