Cupcake caper: little boy insists he didn't steal the sweets, despite evidence to the contrary

Charlotte, North Carolina - Tyrell Fulwood walked into the kitchen to find a thief had ransacked the family cupcakes. When he spotted his son TJ covered in frosting, the father-of-four thought he had identified the culprit. But the little boy had something else to say to about it!

The two-year-old's fingers were covered in icing, and his face also showed evidence of the deed. But that didn't stop TJ from denying the accusations.

Tyrell (34) increased the pressure by pointing his cell phone directly at TJ and filming the conversation, but the little guy maintained his innocence.

TJ's father is a correctional officer and US Air Force reservist, but none of those titles impressed the alleged thief. Instead, he insisted that his three older sisters had eaten the cupcakes.

The little boy answered his exasperated father with a confident "no" each time he was asked whether he was the guilty party.

The video received over 1.2 million views on TikTok

When Tyrell gave TJ a last chance to tell the truth, the boy was unfazed by the ultimatum. "No," he answered again when asked if he had eaten the cupcakes.

Tyrell Fulwood shared the video on Facebook shortly after the incident.

However, the clip only became a viral hit when the father-of-four uploaded it to his TikTok account, where it has since been enjoyed by more than 1.2 million people.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Fulwood explained, "I started recording because I wanted to send to his grandmother, to blame her – say he got this trait from her."

The father-of-four said his son is quite the trickster. He may have some more tough interrogations to look forward to with TJ in the future!
