Republican congressional representatives Abe Hamadeh of Arizona and August Pfluger of Texas announced that the legislation will direct the Treasury to mint 400,000 commemorative silver coins featuring Charlie Kirk in 2026.

A silver dollar is a coin made from silver that features a face value of a single dollar. The coins are often intrinsically valued higher than that, however, because they are used to commemorate meaningful people and events.

"The radical and militant left built statues for a career criminal crackhead (they should ALL be removed)," Hamadeh said in a post on X.

"Republicans honor role models and people of good moral character and significance. That's the difference," he said.

Before his assassination on September 10, Charlie Kirk was famous for his provocative political opinions, including opposition to abortion, support for guns, a distaste for diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, and a disregard for LGBTQ+ rights.

If passed, the legislation would see the silver dollar coins minted with the phrase "well done, good and faithful servant" on one side, while the far-right commentator's likeness will appear on the other.

"Charlie Kirk was a conservative titan whose transformational impact on millions of Americans deserves permanent recognition alongside our nation's greatest leaders and influential figures," Pfluger said in a statement.

"This commemorative coin will make Charlie the youngest American ever immortalized on legal US currency, a fitting honor that cements his extraordinary legacy alongside presidents and founding fathers who shaped our republic."
