CJ Stroud sends Buckeyes into season opener with ultimate swag!

Columbus, Ohio - Heisman finalist and Ohio State star quarterback CJ Stroud wants his team to look fly heading into the season opener, so he dropped a huge $50,000 donation for his Buckeye brothers' closets!

The Buckeyes will be suited-up in their first game of the season – literally.

In a post-practice speech on Thursday, Stroud dropped a bombshell by announcing that he will be giving his teammates gift cards to buy new suits!

"I just wanted to do something for the team, so I get everybody $500 gift cards to go to Express and get y’all own suit," Stroud said, drawing a huge cheers from his team. "Make sure y’all really get some suits, look fly. Make sure we all look good as a team."

In April, the 20-year-old player became a brand ambassador for the Columbus-based fashion retailer, Express, as a part of the NCAA's new name, image, and likeness (NIL) rules.

Entering his second season as the Buckeyes starting quarterback, Stroud will serve as a team captain after receiving the most votes among all other team captains.

On the field last season, the big man on campus set 17 different Ohio State program records, including 13 for passing, as well as setting a new milestone achievements in Rose Bowl game history.

In the most anticipated Week 1 game of college football, Stroud will lead his team against No. 5 Notre Dame on Saturday at 7:30 EDT.
