Austin, Texas - When Bailey Rubal got locked out of her apartment in Austin, she couldn't believe the trick that actually worked to get herself back inside.

In a TikTok video which has now been viewed by more than 10.9 million people, Bailey filmed her plight trying to get back into her place.

The clip shows the woman sitting on the floor underneath her door handle. She repeatedly knocks and scratches at the door, then listens. Cuts in video make it clear that the TikToker must have been sitting in front of the door for quite a while.

Then it happens: a bang is heard and suddenly the door opens from the inside, while Bailey's jaw drops.

Laughing loudly, Bailey falls onto her back, while the camera catches the clever "door opener."

Her roommate's cat seemed to have jumped onto the handle from the inside, opening the door!

"Why is he so smart?" Bailey wrote of Voodoo, the black cat.

During the lockout, Bailey coached Voodoo to open the door from the inside.

"You can do it!" she said to the cat through the locked door.
