The star posted a photo on her Instagram on Tuesday dripping in diamonds, when just years ago she said, "I truly don't know if I'd ever wear real jewelry again."

"You show that off on social media but it's just not worth it. I don't care about that stuff. I don't care to show off the way I used to," Kim told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017 after being robbed at gunpoint for her showy jewels in a Paris hotel room a year earlier.

"I was being flashy and I was definitely materialistic before,” she said. "I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things."

Well, it appears that some people never learn!

In the custom necklace, Kim was shining bright this week in about 30 carats of pavé diamonds created by Jay Feder Jewelers. The big bauble's interlocking chain design featured a detailed diamond encrusted lock. An expert estimated its cost to be between $25,000 and $40,000.

Kim's new photo has been liked more than two million times.

"Queen of everything," one Instagrammer wrote. "Nice ice!" said another.

The new sparkler comes on the heels of another glitzy post last month of an opal and diamond mouth plate grill, confirmed to be worth around $18,000.

Some have speculated that the more frequent flashy posting has something to do with her impending divorce from hubby Kanye West.

"It's funny how I can feel the single vibes comin from you now," a commenter wrote.

Many criticized the displays for being tone-deaf, over-the-top, and similar to her flaunting behavior of the past.

"Guess that robbery in Paris didn’t put your priorities in check??" an Instagrammer said.

Even if she can't help but showcase her new billionaire status, many felt that Kim needed to take her own past advice and keep her wealth to herself.
