Palm Beach County, Florida - Jennifer Flavin, Sylvester Stallone's wife of 25 years, has shockingly filed for divorce.

On Wednesday, People confirmed that the longtime couple are going their separate ways.

The outlet reported that on Friday, Flavin filed a court petition "for dissolution of marriage and other relief" from the 76-year-old actor in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The former couple each released a statement following the bombshell.

"I love my family," the Rocky star shared, adding that they are "amicably and privately addressing these personal issues."

His estranged spouse added that she is "sad" over the spilt, but that she still does "cherish" their time together.

"I'm sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters."

In a similar vein to Stallone, she concluded by asking for privacy for her family "as we amicably move forward."

The split is even more unexpected, as the two just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary together in May.

The Creed star celebrated the milestone on Instagram with a touching tribute.

"Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife. There is not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient, woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you sweetheart!" he captioned the post.

The duo wed in 1997 and share three daughters, Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia.

Flavin was also stepmother to Stallone's sons, Seargeoh and Sage, from his previous relationships. Sage passed away in 2012.
