Atlanta, Georgia – Former Bachelorette contestant Bennett Jordan confronted The Bachelor's Peter Webers about dibs over the winner of his season – out of respect for a possible new flame with his ex-girlfriend.

In preparation for his next quest for love on Bachelor in Paradise, Bennett Jordan stopped by the Almost Famous podcast to get some advice from two fan-favorite contestants, Ben Higgins and Ashley Laconetti.

Bennett was on the drama-filled 16th season of The Bachelorette that saw Clare Crawley depart with Dale Moss just three episodes in.

Though he didn't find love with Clare or her replacement Tayshia Adams, Bennett has had eyes on Kelley Flanagan (29) – the ex-girlfriend of former Bachelor lead Peter Webers (29).

On the new podcast, he confessed his unwavering interest in Kelley, and how he plans on getting around the bro beef of dating someone's former flame.

The 36-year-old is still going through the approval process for Bachelor in Paradise, and he's hoping she shows up on the beach alongside him.

"I'm quite interested in Kelley," Bennett said on the podcast.

Ben reminded Bennett on the podcast episode that The Bachelor franchise knows his interests, which could help Bennett's desires.

"You've made it very clear that you're into Kelley. Do you think that that's going to be able to be provided to you in a free and unbiased, like, opportunity?" asked Ben.

As a former contestant on Bachelor in Paradise, Ashley stepped in to agree with her co-host, saying producers had already paired her with certain singles on the island based on her romantic preferences.

Kelley has yet to speak out about her future with the franchise or her interest in Bennett, but there could be a roadblock in her path by way of her ex-boyfriend Peter.

It's an obstacle Bennett was sure to tackle before speaking out about vying for her attention. The Atlanta native said he met up with the former Bachelor for his approval of the situation over a few tequila shots, squashing any beef before it began.

Both Kelley and Bennett have gotten flirty on Instagram, and he admits they've been in touch.

No matter where his future leads, Bennett said he is "excited for the next step in the journey" and hopeful it will lead him to love on the next season of Bachelor in Paradise.
