On the dating platform OkCupid, he met his two female victims, with whom he entered into relationships in 2015 and 2016. Neither woman knew the other existed!

The suspect introduced himself to one of the women as Joe Brown. The other thought his name was Marcus Brown.

In 2015, Davis moved in with his "first girlfriend" in Orange City. It would be about six years before she finally learned the bitter truth.

By chance, she found out on Facebook that her boyfriend had become engaged to someone else.

As the now-heartbroken woman took a closer look at her counterpart's photos, she could hardly believe her eyes. She recognized her own engagement ring, given to her during a previous relationship, on the other woman's finger!

When she searched her jewelry box, she knew for sure: "Marcus", aka "Joe", both cheated on her and stole from her!

The man misled both women

In total, the man – with whom she believed she was in a happy relationship – stole $6,270 worth of items, the Volusia Sheriff's Office reported on Facebook.

The victim then contacted the other woman in Orlando, who was just as shocked. She had been in a relationship with Davis since 2016!

As it soon turned out, he also stole from her. Both jewelry and her laptop were missing from her house.

But it got even worse.

Davis reportedly took his fiancé from Orlando to his girlfriend's house in Orange City, who was at work at the time. The scammer told his soon-to-be wife that it was his house and asked her to move in with him. When she later agreed, he told her that the deal was off.

The two women decided to bring the con man to justice and went to the police. It turned out that the 48-year-old had even more crimes on his record: he already has a warrant out for his arrest in Oregon for a hit-and-run, domestic assault, and drug possession.

Joseph Davis' current whereabouts are unclear, but police are searching for him.
