Per the Daily Mail, the two dachshunds, named Madigan and Dylan, think the best way to end a walk is with a pint of stout. And they're certainly in a good place to make that happen.

The thirsty twosome are no strangers to Dublin's rich pub scene, and along with their owner, Scot Buchholz, they know how to make themselves comfortable at the counter and lap up a pint.

Buchholz, a former TV journalist, says that the dogs only have a few sips of the stout. Dylan, the older of the pair, has been drinking it for years.

"I have to order a pint of Guinness for them because the server will bring bowls of water out and they never drink it," the proud owner told the Daily Mail.

"They only drink Guinness. They are so snobby and can tell if it isn't the real thing," he added. "They won't drink any other ales or beer."

Buchholz is convinced his dogs like the dark stuff because of the vitamins.

"They aren't there for the alcohol, it's the barley and grains in it that's the draw for them. There's some vitamins in it that's good for them," he insisted.

For those worried about any potential health issues for the cute canines, Buchholz has some assurances: they only ever take a few sips.

What's more, Dylan's had his first Guinness when he was six – today, he's 11 and doing just fine!

Madigan, on the other hand, just recently had her first taste, as Buchholz made her wait until she turned one year old first.

With all the attention his pooches are getting, the reporter thinks there's more to come: "We're waiting for Guinness to create a dog-friendly beer for them."
