"Well here you go again you say you want your freedom" took on a whole new meaning for the viral star, who rose to internet fame with a video set to the Fleetwood Mac lyrics.

According to TMZ, an Idaho state trooper pulled over Apodaca on Saturday, who was driving a red Chevy Silverado, for an expired registration tag.

The officer asked Apodaca to exit the vehicle after smelling marijuana and noticing packs of edibles as he fumbled around his glove compartment for his registration.

Unfortunately for Doggface, Idaho is one of the 13 states that has yet to legalize or decriminalize cannabis.

Apodaca reportedly cooperated, and admitted that he was indeed in possession. The officer searched the vehicle, discovering gummies and a used dab tool.

He was booked into Bonneville County Jail for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released the same day on a $600 bond.

Yet Doggface had a bit of a different take on the incident, telling TMZ that he was arrested after the officer found a firearm in his car. He was told that he had a prior felony conviction, barring him from being able to possess a weapon, but Apodaca claimed he had no such crime on his record. He was arrested anyway, and held in jail without bond.

After several hours, Doggface says officers apologized for the mix-up, and let him off with only the marijuana charges.

Doggface is a big fan of the magical herb

Doggface came to prominence back in 2020 when he made a video of himself drinking Ocean Spray while riding a skateboard to work, set to a clip of Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.

He has since gone on to take part in creative projects, including debuting as a rapper in a music video with iconic rapper Snoop Dogg. He has also become a staunch advocate for cannabis legalization and recreational use.

Luckily, both marijuana charges brought against Doggface are misdemeanors and should be easily taken care of.
