Lexington, Kentucky - Never judge a book by its cover – or a room by its cleanliness.

In mid-July, Amanda Nighbert shared a hilarious video on her Instagram and TikTok accounts and brought millions of people all over the world to laughter.

In the clip, the Kentucky woman can be seen walking into her teenage son's room – not expecting anything bad to happen.

Indeed, everything seems to be perfectly normal at first as she takes a look around the neat and clean space.

But just seconds later, the mother's jaw literally drops.

Her daughters had previously pulled the bed from the wall, revealing a complete disaster of plastic bottles and candy and chip bags!

Nighbert captioned her posting with the words "Oh no! Oh no! Oh no no no no no no! More like oh hell no boy!"

It seems the teenager managed to deceive his mother with his otherwise neat room for quite some time.

As the clip goes on, the boy can be seen vacuuming his room after the mess has been cleaned up.

The comments section of her Instagram post has since filled up with hundreds of laughing emojis by horrified users.

"I'm currently 38w pregnant with a boy and now I'm horrified," one wrote, while another said, "Oh my god. this is really good birth control!"

"I had 3 boys and all their rooms looked like this," a mother sighed.

It seems boys will be boys – but that also doesn't mean their moms have to put up with it!
