How are the Queen's dogs Sandy and Muick doing today?

Windsor, UK - Pictures of the late Queen Elizabeth II's corgis have been adored by many around the world, but how are the dogs doing nowadays, and where do they reside?

It is not known whether corgis Sandy and Muick realized that their owner passed away on September 8. The pair of four-legged friends were seen during the solemn procession at Windsor Castle before Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.

While Britain and the world were saying goodbye, it was time to find a new home for the two corgis.

For decades, Elizabeth II had a distinct fondness for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi dog breed, and she often met with clubs and dog breeders to learn more about the cute four-legged friends.

Muick (pronounced Mick) was originally given to the Queen by Prince Andrew in the spring of 2021, and was later joined by Sandy.

Since the dogs previously belonged to Prince Andrew, they have now once again come under his care at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where Andrew also lives with five Norfolk Terriers.

All these dogs "balance each other out," Andrew's ex-wife Sarah Ferguson told the Guardian. "The carpet moves when I move, but I've gotten used to that by now," she joked.

The corgis' accessories – including their luxurious raised wicker baskets – were also part of the move.

To ensure that Sandy and Muick feel extremely comfortable with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, they get their sheets changed every day. Now that's next-level pampering!
