Los Angeles, California – Despite having every reason to walk the other way, Megan Fox said the universe guided her towards Machine Gun Kelly.

There's little anyone can do to stop destiny, and such was the case with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, born Colson Baker.

In a new interview with Who What Wear, the 35-year-old actor opened up about trusting the universe, and how it led her to the set of the upcoming movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.

When she first met Baker, Fox recounted, "I knew instantly that this is a soul I’ve traveled with before, that this was a soul-mate connection, and that there was a purpose here."

But like all new things, Fox approached it with slight hesitation.

Just last week, Fox said MGK has lived as if he was 19-years-old his whole life, something that might be alarming to find out about the person your heart is yearning for.

Despite the cosmic pull she felt towards him, Fox said her "logical" brain was running through a list of pros and cons about whether it was worth the risk.

At first, Fox felt her relationship with MGK would "never work for 101 reasons," but when it came down to a battle of head versus heart, the heart won out – as it often does.

Fox went public with her music artist boyfriend in June 2020, and it's been a whirlwind romance ever since.

When discussing Midnight in the Switchgrass – a thriller she filmed alongside Baker that premieres on July 23 – Fox was quick to point out her 31-year-old boo had a greater gravitational pull than she expected – making it hard to walk away from him.

"It was definitely a vehicle – I’ll be honest – for me to meet Colson," Fox said of her decision to join the cast.

As always, Fox leaned on the trusting fate to guide her, saying, "The universe was just like, 'Go do this. There’s something about this experience that’ll be really rewarding for you.'"

The reward came in the form of a head-over-heels relationship with Baker that hasn't lost any steam since the jump.
